Manchester City won the first trophy of the season as they were better than Sevilla in the final of the European Super Cup.

The winner was decided only after the penalty shootout and the tragedy. He was the Serbian representative Nemanja Gudelj; he missed the fifth series for the Spanish team, and the trophy went to the European and English champions.

Besides the trophy it has never had in its display cases, Manchester City tonight “got” the 21-year-old Cole Palmer.

The offensive midfielder, who replaced the sick Bernardo Silva on the right side, made great use of the opportunity and showed that the Citizens were right when they rejected West Ham’s proposal to use him in exchange for Lucas Paqueta.
