Thomas Tuchel is one of the happiest managers in the Premier League right now following the successful outing at the FIFA Club World Cup to end the club’s wait for the trophy.

Match Preview and Prediction

Luton Town has won five out of their last fixtures, including the comfortable FA Cup victory over Cambridge United. The recent rise in form has helped accelerate the club to sixth on the EFL Championship table.

Luton Town head coach Nathan Jones successfully reorganised his team defensive and attacking wise. The club has managed to keep clean sheets in six out of either match previously.

In their last league match against Derby County that ended 1-0 in Luton Town’s favour, goalkeeper Jed Steer was the hero who kept more clean sheets to boost his team’s hopes for promotion to the Premier League next season.

Chelsea defeated Ligue 1 Champions Lille courtesy of goals from Kai Havertz and Christian Pulisic. The Blues, however, lost the EFL Cup final on penalties to Liverpool in a fiercely contested affair.

Head coach Thomas Tuchel’s side were overpowered in saver areas against Liverpool, including shots on goal, goal attempts and ball possession. The German tactician who employed 3 – 4 – 2 – 1 formation could not get the better of the Reds.

Facing Luton Town, Chelsea needs to be clinical in front of the goal with the brilliance of Jed Steer set to deprive them of scoring freely. Also, the struggle against Plymouth should be a lesson for Thomas Tuchel and his players.

Score Prediction: 1-2
