Luka Modric close to Real Madrid contract renewal
Real Madrid’s ever-loyal Midfielder, and FIFA best player Luka Modric is closer to his contract renewal with the club. The Croatian is expected to remain in the capital city club for at least another year.
As reported by Edu Aguirre on the Twitch of El Chiringuito de Jugones Jugones (h/t bernabeudigital), Real Madrid would renew Luka Modric contract until 2023.
According to thd journalist who denied claims of a salary increase requested by the player and a two-year contract has confirmed talks is currently ongoing between Luka and Real Madrid.
The Croatian himself wants the best for the club and would not be willing to add to the already tense situation involving the contract of some first-team players. Modric will renew his contract with the club for another year with the same salary.
Luka Modric won four Champions League with the club and is already on the club’s list of best players of all time. He would play and remain a white until he is 37-years old. The decision to keep Modric at Real Madrid for another year came from the club’s top hierarchy.
