The London Stadium at Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, built to host London 2012, is now home to Premier League football club West Ham United. In addition to hosting rock concerts over the past few months, this multipurpose venue has also served as the location for the first Major League Baseball games ever played in Europe, the Rugby World Cup, domestic and international rugby union competitions, The Race of Champions, the RFL Four Nations, and the Rugby World Cup.

London Stadium stands

As is often more traditional with stadiums on the continent, the London Stadium is a bowl of continuous seats. But it’s still divided into four separate stands.

Bobby Moore Stand

The loudest of the club’s supporters usually gather in the Bobby Moore Stand, located behind one of the goals.

Sir Trevor Brooking Stand

The South-West part of the Sir Trevor Brooking Stand, which lies behind the opposing goal, is where the away supporters are seated.

The East Stand

The East Stand, which runs alongside the pitch, was renamed the Billy Bonds Stand in 2019 in memory of the man who played for and managed the club for 27 years.

Betway West Stand

The Betway West Stand is the stadium’s major stand. This is because it contains most of the corporate seats in addition to the player tunnel and the restrooms. Each of the four stands has two tiers.

How to get to the London stadium

The stadium is located in London’s Stratford neighborhood near Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park. It is situated 10 kilometres east of central London in the Lower Lea Valley. It should be simple to get to the Stadium because the capital has long enjoyed a bias from other cities as it has an immaculate transport system.

What is the Capacity of the London Stadium

It initially held 80,000 people, but this number has subsequently been reduced to 66,513, all of which are seated, even though licensing rules currently limit the Club to a maximum match day attendance of 60,000.

The London Stadium’s capacity will expand to 62,500 in 2022 with the addition of 2,500 seats, eventually reaching 67,000.

The stadium’s amenities are generally excellent, and there are many food and beverage options available. There are several types of pies available within the stadium, including Steak & Ale, Chicken Balti, and Vegetarian (both £4), Hot Dogs (£6), and Nachos (£4.20).

The majority of restaurants and bars accept cards, which is also convenient. The stadium is accessible by electronic turnstiles, which require you to enter your ticket into a barcode scanner.

However, you must first walk through the stadium’s perimeter security cordon, where searches are conducted.
