Liverpool eye Johan Bakayoko if they end up selling Mohamed Salah to Al Ittihad
Perhaps one of the biggest transfer stories of the summer was the mega bid from Saudi Arabian side Al Ittihad to lure Mohamed Salah to the booming league.
However, Liverpool rejected the bid and focused on strengthening its squad for the tough challenge ahead. But if a sale materializes, the club is already looking at options in the market.
Now, what is reported by Fichajes.com reveals the Reds are considering PSV star Johan Bakayoko as a replacement for Mohamed Salah.
The winger, who is also interesting Paris Saint-Germain, could head to Anfield in the event of Salah’s departure in the summer.
Liverpool, on the other hand, has carefully assessed the market and is aware of the challenges involved in selling the Egyptian forward in the summer despite the huge offer from Saudi Arabia.
Mohamed Salah is a top priority for Al Ittihad and the Saudi Arabian club after the Premier League rejected its initial bid and could return with an improved offer.
A young forward for an experienced star
Johan Bakayoko is a 20-year-old talented winger who has been outstanding for PSV. According to the market valuation, he could cost around 30 to 35 million euros.
Liverpool will face competition from PSG, who are also keen to sign the winger after completing the signing of Randal Kolo Muani from Eintracht Frankfurt.
