Liverpool could be made to pay €70m for Piero Hincapié – the Bayer Leverkusen starboy
Despite the signing of Alexis Mac Allister, Endo, and Dominik Szoboszlai, Liverpool are not looking like they would close the chapter of the transfer market.
Jurgen Klopp’s side could make another move before the window ends, according to the ongoing speculation across the European media.
These rumours suggest Liverpool could make a last-minute transfer to close the market. Now, the Newspaper El Telégrafo, as relayed by fichajes.com, Liverpool are monitoring Bayer Leverkusen defender Piero Hincapié.
The Reds consider the 21-year as a potential addition to the defence in the summer. The Ecuadorian international is one of the key players at Bayer Leverkusen.
Last season, he started 40 games out of 43 appearances, which shows his importance to Xabi Alonso’s team.
Interestingly, Bayer Leverkusen could request around 70 million euros for a possible sale of the Ecuadorians international.
According to Fichajes, Liverpool are prepared to enter the race and would try to sign him regardless of the competition from other teams.
