Leon Balogun Rangers extension: Nigerian reveals he will stay until 2022
Nigerian defender Leon Balogun reveals he will stay at Rangers until the end of the 2022 football season in Scotland.
The Nigerian international joined the club after his loan spell at Wigan was almost running out. At least, it was the best decision he had taken in his career at this point.
Speaking to SportBild via Fussball Transfers, Balogun revealed he will stay at Rangers at least for another year and it only takes to fill the contract papers.
These words from him signify he would remain with the club for another season after he had helped them with the title.
“It’s just a matter of form, I don’t have to worry about it – I do want to stay. ” said the Nigerian.
Head coach of the side Steven Gerrad had revealed his desire to work with the Nigerian one again.
However, Balogun still sees a move to Germany as possible even though the Rangers remain on the radar.
At least, a league title with the Gers is a remarkable achievement for him even though his stay at Brighton & Hove Albion was not as easy as it would have been.
The 32-year old Central defender was with the Nigerian National team as they qualified for the 2022 African Cup of Nations to held in Cameroon.
