The Spanish La Liga 2021/2022 season is the 56th contested by 20 clubs even as top teams like Atlético Madrid, Real Madrid, Barcelona, Sevilla begin another journey for a title tussle.

Deportivo Alavés is a Spanish professional football club that plays in the La Liga as one of the top average sides in the division.

 

The club’s emergence in the country’s top division was in 2017 after the team struggled through the lower divisions to eventually seal the promotion ticket to the top flight after a while away from the league.

Since making a return to the top flight in. 2017, Getafe has continued to press forward for a high place on the league table. Real Madrid, Barcelona and Atlético Madrid usually face a tough test whenever they come up against a side like Getafe.

How Barcelona, Real Madrid and Atlético Madrid became the “Big Three”.

Barcelona, Real Madrid and Athletic Club Bilbao are the strong founding members of the league which saw Barcelona lift the inaugural season in 1929.

 

That year, the Blaugrana became Champions of the top Division. Leading the table till the end of the season which they could no longer defend, leaving it in the hands of Athletic Club Bilbao who had to win it for the next three seasons before Real Madrid entered the scene.
