Kylian Mbappe market value 2023
Media reports, the club has been denying it for almost a year. However, recent history has shown us that the club has not always been honest. But even now we expect denials, because the numbers presented in the last text by the distinguished “Parisian” will only ignite the already heated atmosphere in the Paris Saint-Germain dressing room.
How much is Kylian Mbappé market value in 2023?
According to figures from Transfermarkt, Mbappé is worth 180 million euros. He ranks among Erling Haaland, Vinicius Junior and Jude Bellingham in the most valuable players in the world.
The French newspaper announced that according to the new contract, Kylian Mbappe will cost the Saints an astronomical 630.000.000 euros for the next three seasons.
Mbappe’s salary is only a part of it, because he will receive 72.000.000 euros gross per season. When he pays the tax and all other duties, he will have about half, that is, about 36.000.000 euros neto.

However, this is only a part of the income, because Mbappe will get another 180.000.000 euros for signing the new contract, since he could leave this summer as a free agent without compensation. True, he will receive that money in three installments, 60.000.000 euros per year.
On top of all that, he will have a loyalty bonus, if he doesn’t move from Paris. In that case, 70.000.000 will be earned in 2023, another 80.000.000 in 2024, and the last 90.000.000 in 2025.
All that money will make Mbappe the highest paid footballer in history, because until now that record was held by Lionel Messi, who extended his stay in Barcelona in 2017 for a total of 555.000.000 euros. That sum was reached only four years later by Mundo, and that’s when we found out about Messi’s salary of 138.000.000 euros – with all bonuses – along with two big bonuses. The Argentinian received an additional 115.225.000 euros for signing, and 77.929.955 euros based on a loyalty bonus.
He scored a hat-trick in the final of the World Cup, but did not become the champion for the second time. While the Argentinians were celebrating the conquest of the football planet, somehow it went under the radar that Kylian Mbappe became the first player in history to score four goals in the World Cup finals. Three goals have scored Pele (two in 1958, one in 1970), Vava (two in 1958, one in 1962), Jeff Hurst (hat-trick in 1966) and Zinedine Zidane (two in 1998, one in 2006).
Mbappe showed in 2018 in Russia that he will be a great football player, that football history will remember him as a great man even though he was just getting into the serious football waters. He was the scorer of four goals then, including the one in the final against Croatia. And already after two World Cups played, we can state that Mbappe has 12 goals at the World Championships, the same number as the legendary Pele.
The catch is that the superstar of the French national team and PSG just turned 24 in December, which means that more World Cups and several hundred more goals await him.
No one doubts anymore that Mbappe will break the record of Miroslav Klose, with 16 goals of the best goalscorer in the history of world competitions, and one day Mbappe could succeed Cristiano Ronaldo as the best scorer in the history of football (currently at 813 goals scored). After such great performances on the World Cup in Qatar, his market value was raised from 160 million euros to 180 million euros.
In order to emphasize Mbappe’s goal-scoring dominance – although it could hardly be missed even by the greatest football laymen – we will look back at his brutal numbers by the day of his 24th birthday. As a player for Monaco, he scored 27 goals, 190 for Paris Saint-Germain, and 36 for the French national team. In total, he scored 253 goals in 363 games.
For the sake of comparison, Neymar is currently the only one who had more goals on his 24th birthday, and only four more. He even scored 70 while playing for the Brazilian Santos, which, you will agree, is the second level compared to European football, the Champions League and the top five leagues.
