Akwa United recently announced the extension of coach Kennedy Boboye’s contract for another full season, which means he’ll be one to lead the club for the 2020/2021 Nigeria Football League season.
The Akwa Ibom state-based team announced the extension on its official Twitter handle as part of preparatory measures or the new season yet to kick off.
The club’s management desires to achieve continental football next season with players on the ground. Presently, Boboye has been working with the players and has been able to grind out results.
The Nigerian Professional Football League is expected to kick-off before the end of 2020 or probably the beginning of next year after the previous season was terminated as a result of effects caused by the Coronavirus pandemic.
