Real Madrid forward Karim Benzema thinks that his compatriots Kylian Mbappé who’s currently rumoured to be the subject of interest in Spain could sign for Real Madrid sooner or later.
Benzema who recently scored his 300th Real Madrid career goal knows the future of his compatriot could be at the Santiago Bernabéu amid uncertainties surrounding his future at Paris Saint-Germain.
Based on the current situation at the French capital club, Mbappé is yet to renew his current contract with the club, which is expected to come to an end by June this year.
According to the terms on his contract, at the moment, he is eligible to negotiate with clubs regarding his future. In Spain, Real Madrid are well aware of the current situation and will do anything to bring the forward to the Spanish league.
As per media reports, Mbappé could wait until his contract with PSG comes to end when he would move to his next destination on a free. For the Parisiens’, they have about five months to break a deal with the French forward.
Karim Benzema spoke about this matter a few days ago to Téléfoot.
“Anyway, it’s Real Madrid that wants him, it’s no longer a secret! I would have liked to have played with him this season, but one day or another he will be at Real.” said the French forward as published by Bernabeudigital.
Real Madrid president Florentino Pérez knows the role of Karim Benzema when it comes to negotiating a possible transfer to the club. The duo has represented the French national team.
Kylian is happy at Paris Saint-Germain, but the current situation indicates he’ll be open to an exit upon the expiration of his contract at the end of June this year.
Benzema is currently enjoying the best form of his career at Real Madrid since the arrival of Carlo Ancelotti who’s been able to instil confidence and hunger for success in the team. The Italian manager on the other hand would jump at the opportunity to play Kylian Mbappé in his team.
