Kai Havertz rates himself in his Premier League debut year with Chelsea

German international Kai Havertz has rated himself after ending the Premier League season with a Champions League berth for Chelsea ahead of next season.

 

Havertz was signed from Bundesliga club Bayer Leverkusen and after a turbulent start with Chelsea, he still able to finish the season on a high note.

 

Speaking after the game against Aston Villa, Havertz rated himself while speaking to Sky Sports.

 

“Of course it wasn’t the best season, but I always look forward step by step and try to do my best to help the team. I know I can do a lot better and hopefully, I’ll do better next season. ”

 

“It’s been a tough season for me. I know that I can get a lot better, ” said the German footballer.

 

With this impressive performance, Havertz was rewarded with a spot for the upcoming European Championships.

 

Havertz was brought from Bundesliga club Bayer Leverkusen after having impressive outings with the club.

 

The stats in his debut season with Chelsea

Goals – 8

Assist – 9

Appearances – 43

 

His contract runs until 2025. The youngster is expected to be in action when Chelsea take on Manchester City in the UEFA Champions League final.

 

For Havertz, his debut season which started on a poor note ended on a brighter note and also earned him a place in the European Championships.
