Italian Serie A side Juventus have entered the race for Chelsea’s 21-year old full-back Ian Maatsen. This is according to Tutto Juve, as cited by Fichajes.
The Italian club is interested in securing the services of the defender as they look to bolster their squad. However, this will not be an easy ride for the Serie A giant due to the interest of Real Madrid and Barcelona.
Ian Maatsen was one of the best talents at Dutch club PSV before moving to Chelsea, where he gradually became one of the key players in the team.
One of the problems Maatsen has failed to do is to command a starting shirt in Mauricio Pochettino’s team. However, the few games he’s played showed a lot of promises.
His performance has not gone unnoticed even as top teams like Barcelona and Real Madrid continue to monitor his progress.
Juventus, on the other hand, joined the race for the Dutch defender due to the injury of Alex Sandro.
