Real Madrid are prepared to make another investment in the market following the record signing of the Brazilian teenage Endrick. The Los Blancos, who had targeted the two players as their transfer wish for 2023, want to close the deal as soon as possible.
According to a report from German Newspaper Bild (h/t Fichajes), Real Madrid are now ahead of Liverpool in Bellingham’s pursuit and are now in the leading position to sign the English midfielder.
In addition, Florentino Pérez could complete the deal in the short term or before the January transfer window closes. The German daily also revealed Liverpool are aware their chances for the midfielder are moderate, unlike before.
How much will Jude Bellingham cost Real Madrid in January?
At Real Madrid, the target is Endrick and Bellingham, and now that the latter has been achieved, it is time for the Englishman to join the ranks. According to Defensa Central, as relayed by Fichajes, Real Madrid will pay 130 million euros for Bellingham.
The addition of 30 million euros to the original 100 million euros was a last-minute addition made by the club.
The Metro UK had reported Bellingham had chosen to join Real Madrid over English clubs that have shown interest in securing his services.
Bellingham’s decision would be a source of joy for Real Madrid president Florentino Pérez who has begun planning for the team’s future. Currently, the crop of young players that have shown to be valuable additions includes Endrick, Rodrygo, Vinicius, Fede Valverde, Tchouaméni, and Camavinga.
Pérez wants a young squad that would make it possible for squad rotation.
