According to the French language based Television Canal+ as cited by Fussball Transfers, the former Arsenal man is closer to a move to Hertha Berlin in Bundesliga despite heavy rumours linking him with a move to fellow Ligue 1 side Stade Rennes.
Olympique Lyon president Jean-Michel Aulas confirmed Jeff’s links with Hertha Berlin during an interview with Canal+. The French Ligue 1 club president sees the future of the French man in the Bundesliga with the Berlin-based club.
“Jeff is currently much closer to Hertha BSC than to Stade Rennes,” says Aulas.
Hertha Berlin’s offer and how it attracts Jeff
The Berlin-based club appears to be the next billionaire club in the German first division after recent moves by the club’s investors ensured several buys within the last two months.
The Ligue 1 star could be the new signing on board. The club offered over 25 million euros which appear to be an irresistible offer on the table at the moment. Although Lyon might have overpriced the midfielder.
