There’s no other to explain for his carelessness after weeks on the sidelines than an apology, a measure which Victor Osimhen took to cool than the pressure at Napoli after contracting coronavirus on his birthday party in Lagos.
The Nigerian international spent the winter holiday in Belgium as the club’s medical team took care of his shoulder injury sustained during the AFCON qualifiers against Sierra Leone.
He was due to return to the first team before 10th of January, but the recent positive result of coronavirus is expected to rule him out of the team for another 14 days.
However moving to Lagos Nigeria, he was said to be celebrating his birthday in the western region of the West African country.
The 21-year old wasted no time to apologise for his mistakes.
“I made a mistake when I came back to Nigeria at this time and attended a surprise party (for his birthday, nes) without understanding the seriousness of what I was doing,” said Osimhen according to Walfoot.
This is not unrelated to his misconduct which caused panic in the camp of the Italian Serie A.
Huge goal starvation stained by unexpected behaviour
In his absence, the club could only manage just 27 goals before the league went on break for the winter holidays. This problem further pushed the Partenopei to fifth on the league table.
Gattuso became worried after the available payers could not guarantee him goals.

As per the requirements for coronavirus positive results, Osimhen is expected to self isolate for about 14 days with further test to show his readiness before he’ll return to the team.
He could also return before the end of January. Initially, he was tipped to return on the 10th of January 2021.
