Hungary are looking to mount pressure on Group G leaders Serbia when they take on Lithuania at the Puskás Aréna in Budapest.

Last weekend’s goalless draw at Montenegro dealt a significant blow for Hungary as they failed to close the gap with Serbia.

Visitors Lithuania is looking for their first win of the qualifying series after picking up a draw and loss in their first two games. Edvinas Girdvainis’s goal was enough to secure a point against Bulgaria last weekend.

Dominik Szoboszlai

RB Leipzig star Dominik Szoboszlai was one of the standout players for the Saxony-based club in the German Bundesliga. He was on target as Hungary thrashed Bulgaria in round two of the qualifying series.

The 22-year-old, however, fired blank as they held on to a draw against Montenegro last weekend.

Last season, Szoboszlai scored six goals and provided nine assists in the German Bundesliga.

Edvinas Gertmonas

Edvinas Gertmonas was outstanding in goal as he kept Lithuania in the game by preventing Bulgaria from getting a further goal. The 27-year-old goalkeeper was arguably the best player for Lithuania throughout the game.
