The FIFA Club World Cup will kick off on Wednesday in Morocco as Real Madrid, Al Ahly, Flamengo, and Seattle Sounders FC battle for the trophy.
Real Madrid are the most successful team in the history of the company with four titles. The Los Blancos qualified for the tournament as defending champions of the UEFA Champions League winners.
The tournament will be held in Morocco from 1 to 11 February 2023. It was initially billed to be held in 2022, however, it was brought forward to 2023.

Who are the teams that will participate in the FIFA Club World Cup in Morocco?
Real Madrid, Al Ahly, Flamengo, Wydad Casablanca, Seattle Sounders, Auckland City and
Al-Hilal are the seven teams that will participate in the 2022 (2023) FIFA Club World Cup.
Real Madrid qualified for the tournament as winners of last year’s UEFA Champions League. The Los Blancos edged past Liverpool to claim the title.
Flamengo will represent the South American continent following their triumph at the finals of the 2022 Copa Libertadores. Auckland City will represent Oceania while Al Hilal will compete as winners of the AFC Champions League.
African giants Al Ahly won last year’s CAF Champions League to earn a berth in this year’s tournament. Seattle Sounders makes their first appearance at the tournament, the MLS soccer side 2022 CONCACAF Champions League at the expense of Mexican giants Pumas UNAM.
Meanwhile, Wydad Casablanca makes an appearance as the defending champions of the Moroccan top flight. They are representing Morocco as the host nation.
How many venues were selected for the Club World Cup in 2023? Two stadiums (Ibn Batouta Stadium and Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium) were selected for the tournament. They are capable of holding 65,000 and 60,000 capacity crowds respectively.
