How to join AS Monaco Academy: trials, fees

AS Monaco Academy built as the Reserved and player development departure of the club, helps players accelerate their careers to the top.

 

The AS Monaco Football Youth and Reserve is owned by French Ligue 1 side AS Monaco based in the autonomous region of Monaco.

The Academy’s is one of the most outstanding in France over the years and have helped young players from France as well as foreigners.

 

Built with a vision, the team combines academic learning and football.

 

How to join the AS Monaco Academy

 

There’s no direct way to apply for the AS Monaco Academy as the club uses scouts to search for talented players within the Monaco region as well as other youth Competitions in France.

 

Players are recruited the moment they’re identified by the club’s scouts, watched, selected and recruited by the Academy recruitment unit.

 

Experienced “scouts” of the AS Monaco attend youth club competitions and matches of various regions as well as national tournaments.

 

For players wishing to be spotted easily, you should attach yourself to a regional team within Monaco as the AS Monaco coaches and managers work closely with the Regional Recruitment teams.

 

After identification, the players would attend a detection/training camp usually held during school holidays and players are not expected to apply.

 

AS Monaco Youth Academy age groups, leagues and Competitions

 

The club has working groups established for the training, U17, U19, that competes in National Youth Championship of France U17, U19, National 2 and the UEFA Youth League.

 

Players are monitored and supervised by managers and coaches every day.

 

AS Monaco Academy Education

 

The team has a fully operational educational structure within the Stade Louis II Stadium complex and is officially recognised by the French Education Ministry.

 

At the end of the process, the Academy prepares the students for the following qualifications

 

  • Brevet des Collèges 
  • Brevet d’Enseignement Professionnel (BEP) 
  • Baccalauréat
  • BTS MUC (Business Management Diploma)

 

The Academy combines football and learning, to prepare young players for the big task ahead.

 

The club has well-experienced coaches that would help players grow by monitoring their performance, growth and commission towards their future.

The AS Monaco Academy school is located within the Louis II Stadium complex in Fontvieille.

Actively competing at the highest level of European football competitions.

 

AS Monaco reached the finals of the 2003–04 UEFA Champions League finals but lost to FC Porto who claimed their second title under the guidance of Jose Mourinho.

Since the final loss to FC Porto, the club has continuously qualified for the Champions League and have reached the knockout stages on several occasions.
