Haaland’s debut goal earns Man City a win over Bayern Munich
In a friendly marred by weather delays, Erling Haaland scored his debut goal for Manchester City in his first game against Bayern Munich. The Norwegian scored twelve minutes through an assist by Jack Grealish.
Haaland was not on the list for the game against Club America. The 22-year-old was bright for the Cityzens, which have sent a strong message across the Premier League club.
The game, which was interrupted due to bad weather, was brought to a halt moments after Haaland had opened the scoring through. He was eventually taken off the game and replaced by Julian Álvarez, who has been praised for his impressive performance against Club America.
Pep Guardiola and Manchester City may have a sigh of relief ahead of the new season with new options in the forwards line.
City opponents Bayern Munich had some of their best players on the day, but Man City’s defense strongly resisted several attempts to put the game to a stalemate. The Premier League Champions will face Liverpool in the Community Shield at the King Power Stadium this weekend.
