Paris Saint-Germain has identified a new transfer target Gonçalo Ramos, as Christophe Galtier races to solidify the team for the moment and the future. However, this new chase could cost the French giants a lot due to high interest from other top European football clubs.
According to the French newspaper L’Equipe (h/t Fichajes), PSG wants to sign Gonçalo Ramos from Portuguese giants SL Benfica due to the exciting stats and potential he could offer to the club.
The 21-year-old Benfica forward was introduced to the scene in October 2020 and has since established himself to be one of the starters in the team. Stats show he has scored eight goals and six assists in 14 games across all competitions for the Eagles this season.
How much would Gonçalo Ramos cost PSG amid interest from Man United and Barcelona
Gonçalo Ramos would cost potential suitors around 30 million euros, and the rivalry is enormous.
The interesting part of the Portuguese forward’s future is the expiration of his contract in the summer of 2023, with no likelihood of renewal. Benfica would most likely sell the forward just as they sold Darwin Núñez to Liverpool last summer.
Although the trio of Neymar, Kylian Mbappé and Lionel Messi is at its peak, head coach Christophe Galtier wants a centre forward just as he’d wanted Robert Lewandowski and Gianluca Scamacca.
