Golden Arrows forced to a draw by visiting Swallows
Golden Arrows were stopped from getting the maximum points at home on Saturday afternoon following a late strike by visiting Swallows at Mpumalanga Stadium.
Sekhukhune United lost their opening game at home to Mamelodi Sundowns on Friday evening to kick-start the start of the new season.
The first half at the Mpumalanga Stadium ended in a stalemate as both sides kept a clean sheet.
However, five minutes from the kickoff of the second half Siyanda Mthanti opened the scoring for Golden Arrows.
But a late strike in the 77th minute by Tshegofatso Mabasa was enough to secure a point for the visitors.
The two sides will be in action in midweek as Golden Arrows travel to Richards Bay while Swallows take on Cape Town City FC.
