Giroud signs contract extension with Chelsea

Olivier Giroud will remain with Chelsea for at least another year. As the Blues report, the Londoners already took the option last month to extend the 33-year-old’s expiring working paper for another season. In winter, the French striker was about to transfer to Inter Milan.

Director Marina Granovskaia is happy: “For the club it is clear that Olivier is still a player that we want to have in the squad. Especially since we keep the important balance between first-class experience and the exciting young talents that are available to us. His attitude when asked to play a supporting role was exemplary.
