List of Bundesliga teams in the Champions League 2023/24 – European football
1. Bayern Munich
Bayern Munich won their 32nd league title to create a record-breaking 10th consecutive trophy since the 2012–13 campaign.
Bayern Munich is one of the traditional Bundesliga clubs in the Champions League. The Bavarians last won the trophy in the 2019/20 campaign at the expense of Paris Saint-Germain.
Bayern is the most successful German team in the competition with three trophies.
2. Borussia Dortmund
Having a promising start to the new campaign, Borussia Dortmund capitulated midway and had to fight back to secure the second spot on the league table. Dortmund’s miserable season includes a fallout from the Champions League group stages and elimination from the Europa League against Rangers.
3. Bayer Leverkusen
Amid the departure of some key players to the Premier League, Leverkusen continues to keep up with excellent performance in the top flight.
4. RB Leipzig
Despite the club excelling in Europe, it was tough for RB Leipzig, which had to rely on the last-minute push to secure the remaining Bundesliga Champions League spot.
5. Eintracht Frankfurt
Frankfurt’s fairytale season came to an end with a second Europa League trophy. The club’s excellent team did the unthinkable against top opponents, including FC Barcelona and West Ham United.
Eintracht Frankfurt head coach Oliver Glasner is undoubtedly the best manager in the German Bundesliga in 2022.
