Turkish Super Lig side Galatasaray will be making some changes in the squad as head coach Fahit Terim singles out Jesse Sekidika, who is expected to continue the remaining part of the season on loan.
At least, the justification for putting the Nigerian on the list of its loan list is the player’s inability to meet up with the expectations of the club since the start of the new season in turkey.
Signed from Eskişehirspor in 2019, Sekidika is yet to register a goal since the start of the season as a striker, which has now turned out to be a big burden on Fahit Terim, the head coach of the side.
The 24-year old Nigerian attacker scored 14 goals in 29 appearances for Eskişehirspor during the 2018/2019 season.
However, his consistency appears to be in a free fall at the moment.
The earlier plans by Galatasaray in 2020
He was tipped to the team’s next big star within a short, looking back at his performance at Eskişehirspor.
The stats, Why Galatasaray wants him outside the club on loan at least for now
The coach of the side is not happy with his performance in general. As per Galatasaray official website, he signed a four and half year deal with the club with expected earnings at 125.000 which rises to 250.000.
The club expected him to solve some of the problems in the attack. Diagne Mbaye, the club’s current top scorer with 6 goals followed by Falcao is injured, and Sekidika form is not top-notch.
At least, it would be a better option to send him on loan, where he can gather regular minutes. As per Sporx, a loan move appears to be the only option left at Galatasaray.
The high points of his career so far was during his time at Napredak Kruševac, where he scored 7 goals for the Serbian club followed by another brilliant season with Eskişehirspor where he registered 14 goals.
