Gabri Veiga to Napoli transfer complicated following change to contract terms
The latest report on the future of Gabri Veiga, who was on the brink of joining Napoli, suggests a deal could not be reached due to a decision by Celta Vigo to change the terms of the initial agreement.
The La Liga star would have been in Naples, but the recent developments cool down the situation around the player’s move to the Italian Serie A champions.
Previously, Napoli and Celta Vigo agreed on a fee of around 40 million euros for Gabri Veiga. However, the latest from Fabrizio Romano indicates it is complicated.
Perhaps, Celta Vigo could have explored other options as they look to make some cash in the sale of the player. And this could be a result of interest from top European football clubs.
According to Fichajes.com, Gabri Veiga and Celta Vigo are tempted by offers from some Premier League and recently Real Madrid, Barcelona, and Atletico Madrid.
However, Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis who is keen to have the player, would try to agree again with Celta Vigo in the coming hours or days.
