Four managers Aston Villa wants to replace Steven Gerrard
Aston Villa are now following up with four managers to find a suitable replacement for Steven Gerrard, who had been relieved of his role as manager of the Birmingham-based club.
The club’s top hierarchy was forced to consider a change in the team following a series of poor results since the start of the season despite loads of money spent on players in the market.
Although there are numerous options on the market available for the Villans, there has been no concrete name mentioned in any section in the English media lately.
According to reports, Mauricio Pochettino is not feasible, even though the Argentine manager is one of the biggest football coaches currently out of a job. Fichajes revealed the four managers of the EPL club are following up for the top job at the club.
The four managers to replace Steven Gerrard at Aston Villa
Rúben Amorím
Undoubtedly one of the fastest-rising coaches on the European continent, Rúben Amorim has been successful with Sporting CP in Portugal and Europe. He started brilliantly in the UCL by getting results against Eintracht Frankfurt and Tottenham Hotspur.
Amorim could bring the balance Aston Villa are looking for in their team, coupled with his wealth of experience managing Sporting.
The 37-year-old manager has won the Primeira Liga, Taça da Liga, and Supertaça Cândido de Oliveira with Sporting Clube de Portugal.
Sean Dyche
Sean Dyche is one of few English managers with a wealth of experience without a job. The Villans could be looking at hiring the former Burnley manager in a bid to rewind the season early.
Unai Emery
Undoubtedly one of the most successful Spanish football managers in the last decade, Unai Emery could return to the English Premier League, where he once managed London-based Arsenal.
The Spaniard is currently the head coach of Villarreal CF. He could be the best option for the Villans as he’s got a high pedigree coming against English teams in the past.
Thomas Frank
Thomas Frank is a brilliant coach who has kept Brentford moving on the Premier League train even without “Big stars” in his team.
Frank is known for his tactical versatility and ability for his teams to attack even against tough opposition.
