Over four teams across Europe’s top five divisions are currently watching the situation at Inter Milan concerning Christian Erikson even as proposed swap plans with Isco Alcoron emerges.
The continuous bench role for Isco Alcoron appears not to be going down too well with the Spanish footballer who used to be a regular starter during the early days of Zinedine Zidane at the club.
Isco was an unused substitute in the emphatic 2-0 win over Inter Milan in the UEFA Champions League on Wednesday night. Since it’s obvious the coach now prefers Martin Odegaard, Isco could be leaving even before the summer of 2021.
According to ESPN via Bernabeau Digital, there’s a swap plan currently running under the nose for Christian Erikson in exchange for Isco Alcoron.
What this means, Isco would be sold to Inter, who will, in turn, offer Erikson as part of the deal. If this report turns out to be Real Madrid’s top priority, they’ll have to fight with clubs like Paris Saint Germain, AC Milan, Borussia Dortmund and Arsenal.
Why Real Madrid could need an Erikson type player in the squad
Erikson 28, left Tottenham in search for a better team that would pay him higher compared to his wages at Tottenham. But since he made that move, it’s been a difficult thing to command the d first-team action.
On the side of Real Madrid, it would be a good option as Zinedine Zidane would have more options in the middle.
Erikson can score, pass balls and also serve as a leader in the middle of the park.
