Fede Valverde thanks Real Madrid fans after league win over Deportivo Alaves
The Real Madrid midfielder was, of course, happy with the team’s performance against Deportivo Alaves following the disappointing results against Paris Saint-Germain in midweek.
Fede Valverde spoke to Real Madrid TV as transcribed by Bernabeudigital after the match against Alaves, thanking Real Madrid fans for the vital role they’ve played.
“I’m happy for the win, and I’d like to thank the fans for their support, as they are always there. The first half was difficult for us, and the coach told us that we had to find the spaces, as we did in the second half”. Said the Uruguayan.
Collecting three points from the game against Alaves was a collective responsibility, and Fede Valverde could not hide this but also acknowledged the performance of Luka Modric.
“We worked a lot on fluidity to get forward, and it worked out well, as we created a lot of chances that way”. He added.
Another Real Madrid player who had an outstanding game was Asensio, who played along with Karim Benzema and Vinicius Junior in the three men forward line of Carlo Ancelotti.
Fede Valverde could not hide but express his satisfaction with the performance of the Spanish forward.
“He deserves it, he always works hard even if sometimes things don’t work out. He’s a good team-mate and a good person, we know what he can bring to Real Madrid”.
Although Real Madrid had won the game and collected the three points, the Uruguayan rues misses chances and the need to improve on the past mistakes.
“That’s what we wanted in the first half, but it came out in the second half. If we have more patience and control, we have more chances to score goals”.
