English Premier League teams are some of the most popular clubs globally, having some of the most interesting nicknames tied to their history.

1. Arsenal
Nickname: The Gunners, The Arsenal
Arsenal is one of the best football clubs in England, often caught up in the middle of bragging rights with fellow Premier League side Chelsea.
The Gunners are the only club to finish a league season unbeaten in the modern era of football EPL.
The Gunners set an English record for the longest top-flight unbeaten league run at 49 games between 2003 and 2004, earning the nickname “The Invincibles”.
The “Gooners”, often referred to as the club’s fan base, was derived from the club’s nickname.
