The long-awaited return of Borussia Dortmund captain Marco Reus back to the first team will be delayed once more.

The German hopes to make a return back to the first team, but the current obstacle he faces is he could only do individual training.

With the projected kick-off date of May 16, he’ll most likely miss the action.

What he will only do is just watch his teammates play if the season makes a return from May 16 or 23.

He is expected to sit out for over a month or thereabout with the recommendation of the club’s team doctors.

“Marco is making progress, and according to his own assessment, he can be expected again in May,” says sports director Michael Zorc. (Fussball Transfers).

Marco Reus’s stubborn muscle injury is preventing him from getting the required Bundesliga minutes this season, even though Lucien Favre had been able to fill in the void in his absence.

A chance for Julian Brandt and Gio Reyna to continue showcasing once again.

Michael Zorc is however confident Reus will make a quick recovery. But this month, a return to football is not likely to happen.

Really sad to see Marco Reus struggle with a stubborn muscle injury for over ninety days now.

With the return of the German Bundesliga still uncertain, Reus could still feature for his club from next month probably.

But since he is not there, Brandt and Gio Reyna still fill in the void.

At least this another opportunity for Americans.
