Dominik Szoboszlai Liverpool FC transfer could cost around 70 million euros – report
Dominik Szoboszlai’s move to Liverpool in the summer could cost the Reds in the region of 70 million euros, as in his release clause. The Hungarian was one of the engine room of the midfield last season for RB Leipzig.
For Liverpool FC, one of the main objectives of Jurgen Klopp’s team in the summer is to strengthen the midfield for the upcoming season in August. The German tactician was left speechless following the contributions of his midfield last season as they finished outside the UCL zone.
But to effectively compete, there needs to be significant re-enforcement even though Mac Allister had joined the club from Brighton earlier. And now Fichajes are reporting Dominik Szoboszlai as one of the key targets of the club.
However, the report also reveals Newcastle United are also interested in the player, and the Magpies could become direct competitors in pursuing the Hungarian, even though it looks unlikely following the huge amount of money spent on AC Milan star Sandro Tonali.
Apart from Newcastle United’s interest, Liverpool also has the decision of RB Leipzig to deal with. The German Cup winners recently witnessed the departure of one of its most important players Christopher Nkunku to Chelsea and could be reluctant to sell the Hungarian this summer.
But Liverpool, on the other hand, needs a top-level player like Hungarian, who has shown to be a quality addition to RB Leipzig since he arrived at the club in 2021.
