Following the disappointing exit against AEK Athens, Dinamo Zagreb would continue their European ambitions in the UEFA Europa League.

The Croatian giants will tackle Sparta Prague at Stadion Maksimir in the first leg of the UEL playoffs round.

Dinamo Zagreb was eliminated from the UEFA Champions by AEK Athens. Following the first-leg defeat at home, they could only manage a draw in the second leg.

Sparta Prague, on the other hand, was also booted out of the UCL by FC Copenhagen in the third-round qualifying series through the spot. The two sides played a draw over two legs and had their fate decided on penalties.
