The 2023 CONCACAF Gold Cup began with a draw between hosts the United States and Jamaica as other action continues with Costa Rica taking on Panama. The match will be played at DRV PNK Stadium.

The two sides are not new at this stage of the competition. Before the game, Costa Rica had lost by a single goal to Panama in the Nations League.

Following two consecutive defeats in international friendlies, the Costa Ricans will be looking to begin the tournament on a strong note. Panama, on the other hand, will be looking to build on the result of the previous meeting between the two sides.

In the 2022/2023 season, he scored twelve goals in 37 appearances for the club. He was also on target during Costa Rica’s 2-1 win over Martinique.

Michael Murillo

RSC Anderlecht defender Michael Murillo is one of the star players on the Panama roster for the CONCACAF Gold Cup. The 27-year-old scored twice in the team’s 3-2 win over Nicaragua in an international friendly.

Last season in the Belgian First Division, he featured in 29 games, scoring three goals/assists.
