Club America trophies (Championships)

Club América is one of the most successful teams in the history of México, with several national and international championships.

Founded in 1916, the club continued to grow until reaching the status of the most successful team in the country. The club is one of the founding members of the Méxican Liga MX.

Since the league’s establishment, the club has won more titles, claiming the rights as the best football club in Mexico.

Club América is also one of the ninth Liga MX that has never been relegated to the second division since its establishment and formation of the league in México.

As the most decorated Soccer club in Mexico, Club América has won 13 Primera Division (Liga MX league titles, 6 Copa México championships or Copa Mx, and 6 Campeón de Campeones cups.

In terms of most league and cup titles, América shares the same record as Guadalajara.

Liga MX – 13 Titles

When it comes to the Liga MX, Club América is the most successful team and the record winner of the competition with thirteen titles.

The club’s first-ever win was in 1965–66. Most of the club’s titles were achieved concurrently, and it was only once the club defended the league title it won between 1983-84 and 1984-85.

Club América also records Champions of the Copa MX with six titles, most of which were achieved in the 20th century.

Campeón de Campeones – 6 Titles

Club América are the second most successful team in the history of the Campeón de Campeones, with seven titles behind great national and city rivals Chivas Guadalajara.

In 1988, the club won it and successfully defended it the following year in 1989. The most recent win was achieved in 2019.
