Chivas Guadalajara is a Méxican professional soccer club based in Jalisco.
The club competes in the Liga MX as one of the ten founding members of the league.

Founded in 1906, Chivas Guadalajara is the second all-time most successful team in Mexican soccer history.
The club alongside Club América is the only two teams in the division that have never been relegated from the top flight.
Despite having a strict policy on not allowing foreigners in its team, the club still one of the most successful teams in the country.
In terms of winning laurels with domestic or homegrown players, Guadalajara can be seen as the most successful in that aspect.
This rule has however made the club a respected team in the country and has produced notable players that have gone on to represent Mexico in major Soccer Competitions.
Although most of the club’s success was achieved on the home front, Chivas still has a reach pedigree on the world stage haven won a respected number of titles Internationally.
The club is also one of the most popular as well as a club with a high financial value worth millions of dollars based on Forbes magazine list.

Liga MX – National
Titles: 12
Years Won: 1956–57, 1958–59, 1959–60, 1960–61, 1961–62, 1963–64, 1964–65, 1969–70, 1986–87, Verano 1997, Apertura 2006, Clausura 2017.
Chivas Guadalajara is the second most successful team in the history of the Mexican Liga MX with 12 titles, trailing all-time leading side Club América who lead with 13 titles.
Unlike Club América, Chivas Guadalajara Liga MX Championship wins were not achieved concurrently. The club from Jalisco won the league its first title in 1956–57.
Creating the early Championship winning record, Guadalajara won the league in four consecutive seasons from 1958–59 to 1961–62. This was one of the early records the club had set.
Also, since the start of the short Tournament (Apertura and Clausura), the club has won two titles one Apertura in 2006 and another Clausura in 2017.
Today, Chivas Guadalajara are a win away from equalling Club América’s record of 13 titles. The club had come close to breaking it on several occasions.

In the history of the club’s participation in Copa MX, it has emerged Champions on four occasions.
Chivas first title was achieved in 1962–63 and a second title seven years later in 1969–70.
Since the beginning of the modern era, the club has secured two Copa MX titles in Apertura 2015 and Clausura 2017.
This is the only domestic Trophy Chivas Guadalajara are miles apart from its rivals Club América.
Campeón de Campeones

In the Campeón de Campeones history, Chivas are the most successful team in the country with 7 titles.
They are a win better than rivals who has 6 titles in one of the clashes.
In the Campeón de Campeones, Chivas Guadalajara had another record which is the number of titles in consecutive years.
Chivas won the trophy in three consecutive seasons between 1959, 1960 and 1961.
This record was almost matched three years later, but it could only defend it the following year (1964 and 1965).
CONCACAF Champions League
The continental Trophy seems to be the only Trophy that is fewer in number in the club’s cabinet.
Chivas Guadalajara has won two CONCACAF Champions League titles first in 1962 and most recently in 2018.
