Cheltenham FC and Birmingham City will face off at Whaddon Road in the Carabao Cup first round.

Cheltenham FC will be looking to surpass their performance last season when they exited in the first round after suffering a 7-0 heavy defeat to Exeter City FC.

The Robins however lost in the EFL League One opener on the road against Shrewsbury Town FC.

Birmingham City on the other hand drew against Swansea City on the road. The Blues in their last outing in the Carabao Cup were eliminated in the first round by Norwich City FC on penalties.

The last time the two sides met was during the pre-season with Birmingham City winning the tie on a 3-2 scoreline.
