Chelsea is pushing to have an agreement with the player, as discussions between the club and the player’s camp have been ongoing for weeks.
The agreement, which has been in place since February, would allow the Ecuadorian international to leave the club in case an important offer shows up.
Last season Moises Caicedo played an important role in the team as they earned a ticket to the UEFA Europa League.
Chelsea has identified Caicedo as a midfielder solution capable of working with Mauricio Pochettino, who wants to have a formidable team for the new season.
