Dundee Harp (11-0) Celtics (1887)
The 11-0 defeat suffered by Celtic against Dundee Harp on December 3, 1887, remains the club’s heaviest loss. The match was a Scottish Cup tie, and Celtic was a relatively new team, having been founded just two years earlier.
Dundee Harp, an established team in the region, was heavily favored to win the match and demonstrated their superiority by scoring 11 goals without reply. The game is significant in Celtic’s early history as it was a humbling defeat that confirmed the work needed to establish the club as a top team in Scottish football.

Motherwell 8-0 Celtic (1931)
One of the most memorable and significant matches in Scottish Football history. The game occurred on January 3, 1931, and was played at Fir Park, home to Motherwell FC. The match was expected to be a closely contested affair.
However, Motherwell dominated the game from start to finish and scored eight goals without reply, with seven different players getting on the scoresheet. The goal scorers were Hughie Gallacher, Willie MacFadyen (2), Bob Ferrier, Willie Johnstone, Willie Waddell, Tom Sloan, and Willie Thomson. It remains Celtic’s heaviest-ever loss in domestic football, also one of the most shocking results in Scottish football.
Dukla Prague 7-0 Celtic (European Cup, 1967)
It was a quarter-final fixture of the 1966-67 European Cup competition. The game was played on March 1, 1967, at the Dukla Stadium in Prague, Czechoslovakia. Celtic were the reigning Scottish champions and one of the top teams in Europe.
However, they were no match from start to finish. Dukla Prague scored seven goals without reply, with six different players getting on the scoresheet. The net was filled by Józef Adamec, Jiric Nemec, Frantisek Schmucker, Karel Kroupa, Vladamir Hagara, Pavel Chaloupka, and Vaclav Migas. Celtic failed to score in the match, and the heavy defeat was a significant setback for the club in their quest to win Europe.
Paris Saint-Germain 7-1 Celtic (2017)
It was a group-stage fixture of the 2017-18 UEFA Champions League. The match was played at Parc des Princes stadium in Paris. PSG dominated the game from start to finish and scored seven goals, namely by Neymar, Edinson Cavani, Kylian Mbappe, Marco Verratti, Dani Alves, Julian Draxler, and Mousa Dembele (own goal). Celtic’s only goal was an own goal by Moussa Dembele.

Rangers 5-0 Celtic (2008)
The match was a Scottish League Cup final fixture played on March 16, 2008, at Hampden Park in Glasgow.
The Old Firm derby between Rangers and Celtic is one of the fiercest and most passionate rivalries in world football.
The Rangers were dominant from the outset and scored five goals without reply, with four players getting on the scoresheet. The scorers were Kris Boyd (2), Nacho Novo, Lee McCulloch, and Steven Whittaker.
