Brighton in an advanced position for Man United, Burnley linked goalkeeper Bart Verbruggen
A goalkeeper for the future, Bart Verbruggen is one of the best young goalkeepers in Europe and has continued to attract interest from Premier League clubs.
The 19-year-old who plays for Belgian club RSC Anderlecht has seen a significant rise in his market value as interest grows.
Fichajes are reporting Brighton Hove Albion is in an advanced position in the race to sign the goalkeeper ahead of Premier League rivals Manchester United and newly promoted Burnley.
The youngster has been on international duty with Netherlands U21s in the European Championship.
Burnley, led by Vincent Kompany, has been linked with the 19-year-old since last summer, but there was no move for a transfer to take place.
Now the competition surrounding the goalkeeper keeps increasing after his performance led him to win the ‘Player of The Year’ at Anderlecht, conceding just 28 goals and recording ten clean sheets.
Further statistics show he had the fourth-best save percentage at 85.2% in the UEFA Europa Conference League with Anderlecht. His ability to keep clean sheets makes him stand out as one of the best young goalkeepers in Europe.
With a promising talent, Bart Verbruggen’s future is pointing to the Premier League amid interest from Brighton, Manchester United, and Burnley.
