The high-flying Seagulls have some interesting fixtures ahead of the 2023/2024 football season in Europe.

Last season was regarded as one of the best in the club’s history as Roberto De Zerbi led the club to Europe by qualifying for the UEFA Europa League after finishing sixth.

The Pre-season test games would be a refresher for the players, even as much movement in the transfer market is expected to impact the team.

Chelsea vs Brighton & Hove Albion

Date: Saturday 22nd July 2023

Venue: Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia.

The first stop during Brighton’s tour of the United States in Soccer summer series 2023 will be at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia.

The stadium has a capacity of 67,594 seats. Two NFL teams (Philadelphia Eagles and Temple Owls) play their home games at the stadium

The Seagulls will tackle London-based club Chelsea, who are off an unimpressive season in the English top flight last season.

Head coach Roberto De Zerbi would have the opportunity to test new areas of his team and make some changes.

Brentford vs Brighton and Hove Albion

Date: Wednesday, 26 July 2023

Venue: Mercedes-Benz Stadium, Atlanta, Georgia.

The 71,000 Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta will be the next destination for the Seagulls as they face Brentford in the second game of the summer series.

Brentford and Brighton played a 3-3 draw during their last meeting at the American Express stadium. The pair had a good outing last season and will look to replicate the same next season.

Brighton & Hove Albion vs Newcastle United

Date: Friday, 28 July 2023

Venue: Red Bull Arena, New Jersey

Roberto De Zerbi’s side will play another Premier League side Newcastle United in the final game of the USA summer series.

The two sides were in action on May 18th, but the Magpies were the better side as they earned a comfortable 4-1 win in front of their home fans.

The team is expected to wrap up their tour of the USA and continue preparation for the new season, which begins in August.
