Brian Brobbey moves to Ajax on loan, Marc Overmars pleased with decision
RB Leipzig forward Brian Brobbey moves on loan to Dutch club Ajax Amsterdam for the remainder of the season. The 19-year old is yet to enjoy his career with the German league side.
Leipzig’s plan to create more playing time was behind the move. However, Ajax and RB Leipzig are yet to provide details of the loan and agreement that was made in respect of the player’s move.
Ajax sporting director Marc Overmars is pleased with the decision to bring them forward as an addition for the remainder of the season.
“Brian knows the club and what is required of him here. It was important for us to have an additional attacker who was immediately available, and that is what he offers. We’re still playing on three fronts and we will urgently need every player, ” said Ajax sporting director as published by Fussball Transfers.
Brobbey has played fourteen games for RB Leipzig but hasn’t found much success with the team. Ajax move is expected to help the player return to his best form.
