Brendan Rodgers transfer admission gives Kelechi Iheanacho greenlight

The fans calls for a replacement striker in the team further echoed across social media as Leicester City fans complained about Kelechi Iheanacho penalty miss against Crystal Palace.

The striker who took up the responsibility to take the spot-kick after a City player was fouled in the 18-yard box just could not convert his chance to put his team upfront.

The numerous calls by the fans of the club ranged across the club and the manager did justice to address the ailing transfer concerns.

According to the Northern Irish manager, the foxes may not particularly look into the market as they have a healthy squad to work with.

This admission has given Iheanacho another greenlight and more room to improve on his”A-game” at the club.

The lack of first-team action has further dampened the morale of the striker, even though he delivers on some occasions.

Rodgers said: “I don’t believe so. It’s something that we’ve looked at.” (Leicester Mercury).

What will happen to kelechi Iheanacho in summer?

A very tricky question, however, everything lies on whether his performance level increases or not as the fans appears not to be keeping faith with him.

Right now, Jamie Vardy is the only one solely responsible for the goal-scoring duties which had turned out to be a problem when he is injured.

As such, there’s a new need to bring in a striker that would be able to deliver the goals week in week out.

In terms of boosting Iheanacho’s confidence at the club, the manager will only achieve this if he decides to play a duo of Vardy and the Nigerian upfront.

At least, pair of attackers would be the only option as he’ll have the opportunity to share the pitch with the experienced players on the pitch.

Other strikers in the team include Gray Demarai, Ayoze Perez, Islam Slimani, and Jamie Vardy.
