Brazilian Serie A table toppers Botafogo RJ will take on Defensa y Justicia in the first leg of the Copa Sudamericana quarter-finals at Estadio Olimpico Nilton Santos.

Botafogo is one of the most outstanding Brazilian soccer teams this season in the domestic scene and on the South American continent.

It was not an easy ride in the round of 16 for Botafogo as they could only rely on the first leg 2-1 win over Guarani as the Paraguayan held on to a goalless draw in the second leg.

Defensa y Justicia completed the double over Ecuadorian side Emelec in the round of 16. The Argentine club has also enjoyed good form in the domestic league.
