Nigerian forward Blessing Chibuike Eleke’s side Beerschot lost on the road to FC St Truiden as the Belgian league enters round 18.
Eleke came on as a substitute in the second half, but could not make a difference as his side ended 2020 in 7th position on the league table.
A pass from a resulting corner was quickly crossed into the 18-yard box of the visitors which found Suzuki, as the Japanese footballer spent no time to head home for the host before the break.
Blessing who’s been a regular in the first team since his return from injury had continued to shine, helping the newly-promoted Jupiler Pro League club to seventh on the log.
At least, his stats so far this season counts towards a positive direction. In eight appearances this season, the 24-year old has not found the back of the net yet.
But he has contributed a lot to the team in general.

Since he joined the club from Switzerland Super League side FC Luzern in 2020, his contributions have been average.
Last season with the Swiss club, he scored over 17 Goals I just 58 appearances for the club, which engineered the Belgian club to wrestle for his services.
So far, he has been one of the most consistent Nigerian attackers in Europe.
But in 2020 with Beerschot, he is yet to find his rhythm. This could be as a result of the high level of competition in the team.
Coach of the side Hernan Losada, who is just 38, prefers to start the likes of Noubissi Marius, Suzuki Musashi, Coulibaly Ismaila and Tarik Tissoudali over the Nigerian.
