Stadiums in London are some of the most beautiful in the United Kingdom, from the Wembley, the London Stadium, and the iconic tech-fitted New Tottenham Hotspur stadium.


London is famously known for its collection of teams in the English Premier League with beautiful venues that have continued to attract fans across the globe.

Wembley Stadium (Wembley Stadium connected by EE for sponsorship reasons) is the national stadium of England, one of the world’s most famous venues and home to the English Football Association (The FA).


The all-seater Wembley stadium has a seating capacity of 90,000, making it the largest stadium in the United Kingdom and the second-largest stadium in Europe.

Famously known for its architecture, the Wembley stadium is a multi-sports venue in the United Kingdom used as a venue for sporting and non-sporting activities, including concerts and tours. 


The stadium hosts some of the biggest football games involving the English Men’s National Team and other important competitions like the FA Cup Final, Champions League Final and selection International games.


By design, it has a 134-metre-high (440 ft) Wembley Arch that is part of the stadiums’ retractable roof, often seen as one of the architectural attractions of London.  Wembley does have retractable (two partially) roofs covering the playing surface.

Twickenham Stadium is one of the architectural wonders of London. It is the largest rugby union-specific stadium in the world which continues to attract thousands of fans and rugby lovers around the globe.

The Twickenham Stadium has a capacity of 82,000 people. It is owned by the Rugby Football Union (RFU), the English rugby union governing body and serves as the association’s headquarters. The stadium is home to the England National Rugby Union Team.


Although the Twickenham was designed for rugby union matches, it can also play host to American Football games.


Built in 1907, the Twickenham stadium is one of the oldest sports venues in the United Kingdom, having a century-old history around it.


Outside rugby union matches, it is a venue for global tours and concerts by top stars in the United Kingdom and North America.

3. Tottenham Hotspur Stadium – 62,850

The Tottenham Hotspur stadium replacing the White Hart Lane, is the third-largest stadium in the city of London, the second-largest football stadium in the Premier League, with a seating capacity of 62,850.


The new Tottenham Hotspur stadium was designed to be a multi-purpose stadium. 


By architecture, it features the world’s first dividing, retractable football pitch, which reveals a synthetic turf field underneath. As per the club owners, it was specifically designed to accommodate NFL Games, which would drive more revenue for the club.


This unique feature reveals the beauty of the stadium for other events like concerts and Tours.


It has four stands (North, South, East and West Stands). It is also the first Premier League stadium to include rail seating for fans. The new stadium is about four times the size of the old White Hart Lame.

The London Stadium, formerly referred to as the Olympic Stadium, is an iconic sporting facility and entertainment centre and one of the major tourist attractions of London.

Selhurst Park is one of the famous grounds in the EPL. It is a football stadium in Selhurst in the London Borough of Croydon.


The Selhurst Park stadium was opened in 1924. It has a capacity of 25,486 seats and is home to Crystal Palace Football Club.

Tottenham Hotspur is one of the most successful teams in English football. The club’s most successful period was the 1960s and the 1980s. Yet the club holds a significant position in English football.


Tottenham Hotspur became the first British club to win a UEFA competition – the European Cup Winners’ Cup 1963. By lifting the inaugural season of the UEFA Cup in 1972, the club became the first British club to win two different major European trophies. 


West Ham United


West Ham United is a traditional English football team and one of the clubs with the most fans in London.


West Ham has won two European trophies, the European Cup Winners’ Cup in 1964–65 and UEFA Intertoto Cup in 1999. The Hammers have won the FA Cup three times.


West Ham United is also one of the most consistent teams in the English top-flight since their promotion in 1923. The club have also spent more seasons since the Premier League was introduced in 1992.
