Benfica and Sporting CP will face off at Estádio da Luz in one of the biggest football fixtures of the weekend. The meeting between the two sides is often referred to locally as Derby de Lisboa.
Led by Roger Schmidt, Benfica are high flying this season as they lead the Portuguese Liga Pro with 40 points from 15 league games. The Eagles could extend their lead at the top to six with a convincing result of underperforming Sporting CP.
Visitors Sporting CP have not recorded the best results this season. The Green and Whites are twelve points adrift of Benfica and nine points off second-placed Braga which could hand them a major task in a bid to land a Champions League qualifying position.
