Philipe Coutinho release clause hasn’t been pulled yet by Bayern Munich, at least.
The Bavarians had an agreement with Barcelona that would mean the best Bundesliga club will compensate Barcelona to sign Coutinho permanently.
But since his move to Germany, Coutinho hasn’t been able to become the player he wants.
Coutinho has literally struggled at Bayern Munich which has been marred by injuries.
However, there is more to it than the way it appears to be as the club could still keep the 27-year beyond the current contractual terms.
Would the Bavarians want to change anything? Rummenigge at least doesn’t rule it out. The 64-year-old says according to the ‘Spiegel’: “We will complete the team planning internally and see whether he should continue to play a role with us or not.” However, the tendency is that Coutinho will play for another club in the future.
Coutinho still has a working contract with Barcelona which runs till 2023.
