Bayern Munich is expected to adopt a new squad rotation format so as to give room for Bouna Sarr, after the Senegalese completed his move from French Ligue 1 side Olympique Marseille.
Speaking to RMC Sport as cited by Fussball Transfers, Sarr said he was notified about Bayern Munich search for a right-back matching his profile, and as the offer came, there was no a reason to turn down the offer.
“I’ve been told they are looking for a right-back with my profile. They wanted a player who thinks offensively,” he told RMC Sport.
Recall, the Senegalese was signed to Germany for eight million euros. A move which was inspired by the Audi Cup season’s pre-season friendly between Bayern Munich and Olympique Marseille.
He also disclosed how the coach of the Bavarian club got to know about him after watching him play.
We played against them in preparation and I showed some interesting things. The coach (Hansi Flick,) liked my performance and then said that he wanted me. ” Sarr also assured: “ They told me that they were counting on me. There will be a lot of rotation. ”
Sarr is expected to blend with the first team to continue his development further in the German first division. The 28-year old Senegalese has been inspiring for Marseille for the past one year.
