Barcelona offers loan and buy option for Bernardo Silva as Man City declines transfer request
The current economic situation at FC Barcelona has hindered the club from making new signings. And as such, the club has sought a new plan that would see them bring reinforcements.
According to Spanish Newspaper AS (h/t Fichajes), Barcelona wants to sign Bernardo Silva from Man City initially on loan with an option to buy.

However, the report claims that the Premier League club is not open to this idea. Instead, Barcelona must provide the full transfer fee before the Portuguese is allowed to leave the Etihad stadium.
Barcelona has been desperate to bring reinforcement. This comes as the club recently registered Pedri fully with the first team. And the signing of Silva is expected to boost the midfield.
Bernardo Silva is one of the best attacking midfielders in world football. Barcelona already knows what he brings to the table. The main obstacle for the Catalan club has been Man City’s asking price for the player.

According to figures from Transfermarkt, Bernardo Silva’s market value is 80 million euros.
